Some fun mats

FanAddict Frames has a really amazing computerized mat cutter. It allows us to design and cut some pretty awesome things. For this entry, I thought it would be fun to showcase some of the cool things we have designed.

The following mats were done on three Elvis pictures one of our clients brought in. Each picture had a different feeling, so we created three completely different mats.

Wedding Season

Everyone knows finding the right photographer is paramount when you are planning your wedding... but few people put much thought into who is going to frame those gorgeous photographs. We suggest finding a great custom framer, like FanAddict Frames. You probably wouldn't hire a mall photographer to photograph your wedding, so why would you put those amazing memories in a Target bargain frame?

We have the ability and know-how to preserve your wedding memories in the most beautiful way. And you cannot top our company's convenience and flexibility!

It is popular these days to have a frame where your guests can sign the matboard and write a personal message to you. FanAddict Frames will build the frame, cut the matboard, and assemble it for you (without the plexiglass). If you choose to have this kind of frame at your wedding, simply have your guests sign and have a trusted family member or friend bring it to us the next day. We will disassemble, add the plexiglass and have it ready for you when you and your spouse arrive home from your honeymoon.

Our Computerized Mat Cutter is able to print on the mats. Here we printed the couples' names and wedding date.
A gorgeous, hand-painted scroll from a Jewish ceremony
The bride commissioned this as a holiday gift for her mother. Both the bride and her mother live in another state ~ Location is not an issue.
A stunning cream suede matting was chosen.

More than just pictures

One of the things that I love about my job is seeing all of the unique items our clients bring in to be framed. We have framed a fair amount of flags over the past year as well as some really cool artwork. I thought I would share a few of the cool things we have seen and framed.
Mickey and Firefighter
FSU Sweet Dreams
Dry Mounted Flag
Toy Story 3 Movie Poster
Canvas Hand Painting - with no plexiglass
This painting was pretty cute... There is a personal message on the back that the client wanted to be able to see.
We left the back open, so the client could read the inscription if she wants.
This was painted by one of our neighbors... pretty awesome.
Another painting by our neighbor
This flag is probably the most special. It is a gigantic 9/11 Tribute flag. It was an honor to frame this.

Family Collage

This weekend we worked on a pretty cool frame. Our client brought this photo collage in:
It was decided that the pictures should be separated and reorganized. At first we were going to put a beautiful light tan linen matboard over a maroon mat. And the client wanted an inscription printed on the mats. But the linen looks yucky with writing on it, so we scrapped that idea.
We settled on a slightly darker tan with crisp white under it. Our client wanted "We Love You Daddy" and the date inscribed under their family photo.
Our state-of-the-art computerized mat cutter allows us to do some pretty amazing things... including printed inscriptions.
I LOVE the way this turned out!

We Love Grandma

So this week we did a really cool frame. I LOVE the way it turned out!
We have a state-of-the-art computerized mat cutter which allows us to design just about anything you can imagine. This particular frame is 10"x40" and features our Beach Wood moulding. There is a single mat with "We love [heart] GRANDMA" cut out. To add some visual spice, we put some scrapbook paper behind "We [heart]".

When we are framing something with photos behind the letters, it is best to send at least 2 or 3 extra photos. Sometimes the pictures you want don't fit perfectly with the shape and size of the letters.

We have a wide variety of scrapbook paper options available at our shop. You are welcome to choose from our selection or bring in your own.

The "We love GRANDMA" frame starts at $150. This price is subject to the moulding and matting you select. But I think this would make a fantastic Mother's Day gift! It is something all of the grandkids could split. =)

Everything we do is customizable. We understand that not everyone has a "Grandma"... Some people have a "Grammie" or a "Nana" - It all works! Email us today for an estimate on any other name: mindy@fanaddictframes.com

A Little About Us

Welcome to Fanaddict Frames.

My husband and I own this custom frame shop in West Palm Beach, FL. We specialize in creative mat designs and memorabilia (sports or personal). No job is too big or too small. We can and will do it all.

Shane and I started FanAddict Frames in May 2010. We had our second child at the beginning of that year, and we were looking for things to do in order to supplement my teaching salary. With the help of some of our close friends (who happened to have some framing equipment in storage), we decided to start our own company.

The first frame created at Fanaddict Frames
I plan to use this blog to showcase the work we do. If you ever see anything you are interested in, please email me: mindy@fanaddictframes.com  I would love to set up an appointment with you. We can meet at our frame shop, or we will come to you.

Don't live in FL? Not a problem. Actually, we have several great clients who live in various states across the US. We are able to do all consultations over the internet and telephone, then ship the final product to you. If you still prefer to see us in person and cannot get to us, we will come to you (travel charges may apply).

It is our goal to treat you like the VIP you are. We are flexible to your schedule. We pride ourselves on excellent quality work and amazing customer service.
